For Nick. Particularly

Nick,

I was trying to describe the doodles that Blake does.  Take a look at this website

http://inudge.net/

Drift is a great word.  There is drift wood, there is snow drift and then there is this

wonderful person who has drifted into my life.

You were talking about sampling music but I think that doesn’t describe what he does.  Blake doodles beautiful compositions using the tools  he found on this site.

  1. Cool!

I sent the link to two of my young nieces to play with. (their old fart uncle is too busy converting VHS tapes to DVD, or he’d be playing with it.)

  2. I am happy you have a happy drifter in your life.

I am embarrassed enough to admit that I found myself spending way too much time with “the doodles” and became somewhat obsessive.

    So thanks for sharing this.

    Again, I’m happy for you.

  3. That which drifts has a slow and transient beauty and as long as I remember not to become attached, that wonder and joy remains present. Otherwise,…

    Drifting
On a sea of forgotten teardrops
    On a lifeboat
    Sailing for
    Your love

    Sailing home

    Drifting
On a sea of old heartbreaks
    On a lifeboat
    Sailing for
    Your love
    Sailing home

And yet, even heartbreak has it’s own power and beauty, n’est-ce pas?.

  4. Huh?

  5. Hendrix.
